More Mathematica
While Speyer's team installed WordPress on a campus server, I made it through several tutorials in Mathematica programming, creating my first mini-application (which I then lost by forgetting to save it) and also my first function to generate a random polynomial within a given specification for degree and size of coefficients (which I did save, mercifully). I also learned that there are many ways Mathematica can interface with Java, and will need to explore those possibilities as each offers some tools the other does not and my eventual program may need to draw on both.
