There are two tricks for starting an embedded YouTube video at a point later than the beginning. One method is to use the web site: http://youtubetime.com/ and follow the simple instructions. The other is to append the following string to the link address: #t=xmys, where x is minutes and y is seconds.
I tried to modify the embed code in the same manner to see if I could start an embedded video later than the beginning, but was unsuccessful.
